Creating a Brave, New Airport and Travel Retail World

By: Peter Marshall, Founder: www.trunblocked.com
Hello Everyone
Yes, the title is a BIG statement. But all the ingredients are there for the webinar series on September 15 and 16.
Future Airports: From Here to Where? is being presented and co-hosted by world leading design agency, Portland and www.trunblocked.com As you can read from the programme schedule, detailed below and here: https://www.fromheretowhere.co.uk/schedule It provides a very powerful line-up of speakers and panellists, with 5 sessions each day covering the repurposing and reimagining of the airport customers’ experience, lessons for travel retail from the high street and malls, the future of F & B in airports as well as a focus on delivering viable, new commercial models. As you can read, there’s much more, besides!
It really is a journey to the future of airports and travel retail. It is also a completely different webinar model. Basically a hybrid event, it combines studio panel sessions, live virtual, plus pre-recorded interviews, location filming as well as a few surprise segments. Each day’s duration is around two and a half hours.
Ibrahim Ibrahim, Managing Director, Portland
According to co-host, Ibrahim Ibrahim, Managing Director of Portland, ”The key focus is the future. We will be covering the entire airport experience – both the operational process as well as the commercial components of the holistic experience”.
It would not be a overstatement to say that we have provided an extraordinary cast of speakers and panellists. And not just from within the industry, but we have made a deliberate commitment to featuring leading global experts in their field from outside the industry, too, who will offer very different perspectives.
Peter Marshall, Founder: www.trunblocked.com
Our aim is simple: to reduce the time lapse back to a more prosperous airport landscape by introducing bold, new, innovative steps to the business community. But we also recognise that there has to be a strong will to effect change. So each of our webinar sessions has been specifically designed to encourage that – especially from the airports, who will largely be instrumental in driving that change.
We will be announcing new panellists each week leading up to the event and we will be regularly updating our dedicated microsite, which you can access here.
If you are an airport authority, airport operator, institutional investor, travel retailer, brand, airport planner, architect, designer or consultant, there will be something of substantial interest for you. Attendance to the live broadcast and online event, staged on September 15 (1400 – 1700 UTC) and September 16 (1400 – 1630 UTC) costs 30 GBP for each day’s session and can be booked here. We are delighted to announce that profits will go to the Duty Free World Council Academy’s excellent online learning programme, where we will be funding bursaries for people with disadvantaged and diverse backgrounds who want to enter the business as well as for those who have just joined. New talent, new opportunities.
Look forward to seeing you there.
