I recently caught up with Peter, Head of Global Travel Retail at Lindt & Sprungli at TFWA Singapore. It’s a first interview on and it’s good, very good.  This is because it focuses on the company’s very exacting and targeted approach to Travel Retail. It’s a key platform for the business and it enjoyed some 20% growth in 2023. How? Because Lindt not only tailor makes individual activations for different regions – it’s never one size fits all – it also focuses on smart, seasonal celebrations as well as creating country specific products.  Peter takes us across the world with some of his personal highlights.

The company is also remarkably agile and has nurtured business catering to the gifting and self-consumption market in China as well as firmly established itself as market leader in premium chocolate in India. Peter believes there is still plenty of scope for growth for premium chocolate and his wish list includes a call to retailers to look at creating more touchpoints in their stores.
