The European Travel Retail Confederation (ETRC) does some very important behind-the-scenes work for the travel retail industry. I caught up with Julie Lassaige, Secretary General, recently at the ACI Europe Commercial and Retail Conference, where she was a speaker. We cover a lot of ground in this interview, including how TR and Duty Free has rebounded since COVID, how ETRC is working to promote awareness of TR at top European levels, what progress is being made in advancing Arrivals Duty Free in the EU from third party countries, digital labelling, sustainability, EU legislation, air passenger rights to carrying duty free purchases onboard and the challenges and opportunities for the industry in the coming years.
