Introduction by: Peter Marshall
This week’s trunblocked.com video features Thomas Kolster. He is an internationally-recognised author, speaker and expert on sustainability, advising both Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups.
Thomas places people and planet first and, as you will see from this striking video interview – this is just Part 1, with Part 2 to be published next week – he does not hold back on coming forward with some forthright views, especially with regard to airports, airlines and travel retail. But he is also fully sensitive to the challenges that seeking a path to sustainability presents to companies and there is some excellent advice regarding guidelines and the steps necessary to make progress.
Part 1 is all about his general observations on the aviation and travel retail sectors, who is best taking sustainable actions and who not, and what does it take for any company to accelerate its pace towards robust sustainability status. Who needs to own ‘sustainability’, how can companies implement sustainable actions without compromising the growth or future needs of the business?
All this and a whole lot more…..
